A Project Complete

I used to make drapes and other home decor items with my Aunt Kelli. I was pretty good, and enjoyed it a lot. Since getting my own place, I have dreamed of making my own home decor. But I've never actually followed thru with anything. I bought fabric to reupholster an armchair, but it was ultimately my mom who did the work. I talked about making a window valance for several months before, yet again, my mother stepped in and made me one.

But this time, I did it all by myself! Granted, it did take my mom to help me pick out fabric and come up with a design (Kelli helped there too), but I did all the heavy labor. And it's beautiful! See below!
